How to Fix Error - Not enough memory Error when trying to save a created character (Font)?

Not enough memory Error when trying to save a created character (Font)

I've tried everything, but even shutting all possible programs off I still can not save a Private Character Editor created character in windows 7.
I'm on an eMachinesET1331G-05W, Windows Home Premium, 4GB DDR2 memory, and AMD Athlon IIx2 250u dual-core
processor.
I upgraded recently from my old W3050 1GB Windows XP system, (which I learned and enjoyed the Private Character Editor with on problems at all) and no mastter what I try, I get the same message whenever I try to save a character.
I even tried to
simply copy a simple font and save it without any editing at all to no avail? Everytime I recieve the message, " Not enough memory to save character, wait for other process to close", even if I have nothing running from a clean re-start except Private Character
Editor? I used IoBit to check memory and it said that I had a total of 3839MB of memory, 1091MB memory used, 2748MB memory free, and only 28% memory usage....
I would appreciate any help I can get on resolving this problem.
Thanks to all,  Don

Keys to the Problem Not enough memory Error when trying to save a created character (Font)

Okay, Great news for anyone else having this problem with Windows 7 and the Private character editor.....
After continued google searches with my problem rephrased again and again I finally came across this link....
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/981813/en-us
Withthe subject:  You cannot save private characters by using eudcedit.exe on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2
This page led to the following "Hotfix" page...
http://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBHotfix.aspx?kbnum=981813&kbln=en-us
Warning...
This hotfix is intended to correct a specific problem as stated on this page:
Important --- A hotfix is intended to correct a specific problem.

Apply the hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the specific problem.

Installing the incorrect hotfix can cause damage to your system.

If you are not sure whether the hotfix is the correct one for your system, do not install it.
I'm happy to report and share that since this described my problems exactly, I asked for the hotfix as instructed to on the page, and almost immidiately the e-mail arrived with the link for downloading and the needed password.
Download and run the file (409779_intl_x64_zip.exe), paying cafefull attention as to where you have it put the resulting file, (Windows6.1-KB981813-x64.msu)
Now double click on that file, (Windows6.1-KB981813-x64.msu) and the memory error problems with the Private Character Editor are gone! I tried it out and am now able to copy, create, modify, and most importantly ...........  Finally successfully Save my
created Characters for the first time since buying this Windows 7 64bt system.
I hope this helps others with this problem as I've been trying for over a month to solve this particular issue and know how frustrating it is to search for an answer to it.
And a grateful thank you to Syed N & JimR1 for thier effors to help me out on solving the issue.
